Following the success of the last Arts Alive Festival in 2005, Caloundra City School is pleased to present the 2007 Arts Alive Festival.
This year, almost fifty international, national and local artists will each present four to six pieces of art alongside our Feature Artist, Kendall, a well-known and talented Sunshine Coast Artist.
Our previous Festival was a great cultural experience for hundreds of students, parents and members of the community and we hope you and your family will join us this year.
All of the art in the Exhibition will be available for purchase during the festival and at the Gala Cocktail Evening.
Celebrate the opening of Arts Alive 2007 at our Gala Cocktail Evening on Friday 13th July. Drinks, hors d'oeuvres & entertainment are included.
Viewing of the exhibition is open from 6.30pm to 9pm with the official opening at 7pm.
Tickets are $40. Please phone 07 5492 1027 or email to make a booking. Download a Gala Invitation by visiting the Gala Cocktail Evening page.
With a long list of sell out exhibitions and a unique style that has become highly collectable, Kendall Perkins has made her mark on the contemporary art scene in a big way!
Based on Queensland's Sunshine Coast Australia she brings a breath of fresh air to an art scene that has become predictable and formulated. She is a progressive, aggressive artist that has established herself on the global art scene in a blaze of colour and character.
Kendall will be "painting live" at the Art Festival on Sunday from 2.00-3.30pm and will judge the children's artwork at 4.00pm.
Visit the Arts Alive Gallery to view Kendall's work.
